PHOTO CONTEST

What does Charlottesville look like from your point of view?

C-VILLE wants to know and invites photographers (pros, hobbyists, complete beginners—everybody!) to submit local photos in three categories for its Summer Photo Contest.

We want summertime pictures in three categories: People, Places & Things. First-, second- and third-place winners will be selected in all three categories, with a Best in Show Grand Prize going to the best photo overall. The Best in Show winner will also go home with a $250 gift card from The Great Frame Up. Judges include photographers Will Kerner and Robert Llewellyn and Second Street Gallery Director Leah Stoddard. Winners will be published in the July 18 issue of C-VILLE.

Contest Rules: Entries must be in print format. No e-mail submissions will be accepted. Entries may be sent or hand-delivered to C-VILLE Weekly, 106 E. Main St., Charlottesville, VA 22902, next to the Jefferson Theater on the Downtown Mall.

Entries must be received by Friday, July 7, no exceptions.

Entries must be clearly labeled with the photographer’s name and contact information as well as the name of the picture, if applicable. Unidentifiable work will not be considered. Work will not be returned. In submitting work for the contest, you grant C-VILLE permission to republish it in print and Web format. Each photographer assumes responsibility for proper permissions and releases from all subjects. C-VILLE will assume no liability for unauthorized work.
